About me
Accomplished pianist and musician Ioannis Dimitriadis (b. 1988) received his Master of Music degree (Künstlerische Ausbildung) in performance with highest distinction for his final graduation recital at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim, Germany (Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts) in 2014 under the guidance of Professor Michael Hauber. In 2008, he was admitted to the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki to commence his Bachelor of Music degree, where he also received the Distinguished Student Award that same year. There, he received his Bachelor of Music degree in 2011 under the guidance of Professor Patroklos Georgiadis. Previous notable Professor had been the great Greek conductor and pianist Georgios Thymis.
As an active and versatile performer, Ioannis has taken part in many masterclasses around the world conducted by distinguished pianists such as Rudolf Meister (Germany), Martino Tirimo (England), Brandt Fredriksen, Goeffry Haydon (USA), Miki Itoh (Japan) and Dimitris Toufeksis (Greece) to name a few. He has performed numerous times as concert soloist around Greece including in the Thessaloniki Concert Hall and the Auditorium Main Hall of the Aristotle University. He has also performed many solo piano recitals in different cities of Germany including Mannheim, Schorndorf, Bietigheim-Bissingen and Ludwigshafen. As a passionate chamber musician, he has collaborated with multifarious chamber music ensembles making many appearances around Europe.
Since 2017, Ioannis has been teaching in private and later on as a faculty member in leading conservatories of Greece, helping students of different nationalities acquire their degrees and achieve personal goals. His students have won prizes in the German competition ‘Jugend musiziert’ for solo piano and chamber music while others have successfully passed the entrance exams of higher education music institutes.
